Marine life conservation is a cause we jumped into with a splash!

Have you ever thought about how amazing it is to be able to help conserve Brazilian marine life? That's what the Havaianas Conservation International (CI) line does and has done for over 10 years.

7% of net sales of sandals from this line are donated to the NGO CI-Brazil. Since 2009, we have been working together to conserve marine life, especially in the Abrolhos, a cluster of islands in the northeast region of Brazil, where the greatest biodiversity in the South Atlantic is located.

Our partnership together has already protected 380,000 hectares of marine and coastal ecosystems, the equivalent of 460,000 soccer fields. Amazing, right?

How does it work?

CI develops scientific research aimed at conserving nature in its most fundamental elements: food, water, livelihoods and climate stability. Its actions range from tracking the fish that we harvest to generating a sustainable economy for more than 100,000 people who depend on fishing and tourism in the Abrolhos region.
